The hardest thing about duck hunting in Georgia is finding the ducks. We have taken care of that part. All you have to do is show up and shoot straight! Located in the heart of Georgia is the kaolin belt with its many ponds left over from the strip mining operation of years gone by. These ponds make an ideal environment for ducks and duck hunting. During the 2015-16 Georgia duck season we took merganzers, gadwall, ringnecks, mallards, bluebills, wood ducks, canvasbacks and redheads with the vast majority being wood ducks and mallards.
