  Deer Hunting

With over 1500 acres and over fifteen years of quality management deer hunting at Black Creek Plantation offers the opportunity to harvest the buck of a lifetime while hunting with us. The average buck will gross more than 120 B&C points with our largest buck to date grossing over 155 B&C.

How We Hunt- Most hunting is done from tree stands (climbers, ladder, ground blinds and box stands). You are also welcome to bring your own. We scout each tract for months and place stands where we have seen good bucks and buck sign. With over 20 years hunting this property we have the knowledge to help you come eye-to-eye with a nice buck.

One wide typical will score between 160 - 165 B&C and a non-typical that will score in the 190s.

The most productive time to get a big buck is during the pre-rut and rut. These prime times are from Oct. 25th - Nov. 20th. There is a maximum of 4 hunters at any one time during deer season. This assures a limited amount of hunting pressure. Exceptions will be made only if all hunters are in the same group.

Meals -Your day starts with a light breakfast prior to getting into the woods about an hour before first light. If you decide to take a break for lunch then you will be treated to typically Southern fair. After the afternoon hunt dinner consist steak, seafood or special meal. There is also a full kitchen available to those that are staying at the lodge for midnight snacks. You are welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages to be enjoyed after the hunt and in moderation.

Bag Limit - Each hunt includes 1 mature buck ( 7 points and 13 inch spread or better) and two does. There is a fine of $500.00 for undersized bucks, this includes button bucks.

3 Day Hunts- All of our hunts start with your arrival on Thursday before 6:00pm. Three full days of hunting Friday - Sunday and departure after the hunt on Sunday evening. An additional night stay is available if needed. The cost of this hunt is $1295.

4 Day Hunts- All of our hunts start with your arrival on Wednesday before 6:00pm. Four full days of hunting Thursday - Sunday and departure after the hunt on Sunday evening. An additional night stay is available if needed. The cost of this hunt is $1495.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MC, AMEX.
